APSET 2018 Notification-Examination Centers & Important Dates apset.net.in: Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET-2018) invites applications for the recruitment and promotions of Lectures/Assistant Professors in Degree Colleges as per the University Grant Commission Regulations for the year 2018 will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.47 Higher Education (CE) Department for recruitment and promotions. Eligible candidates with prescribed qualification and experience can apply through online. The candidates have to apply online between 26/03/2018 and 02/05/2018. The exam will be conducted on 01/07/2018. The process of selection will be done based on Paper I and Paper II.

Name of the Posts: Lectures/Assistant Professors in Degree Colleges as per the University Grant Commission Regulations for the year 2018.
The APSET-2017 examination is conducted in 31 subjects for which UGC has granted permission. The list of subjects is as follows:

Fee: An application fee of Rs. Rs. 1000/- (for General Category), Rs. 800/- (for B.C. category) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PH/VH category). The candidates belonging to SC, ST, PWD and female candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee. The fee should be paid through payment gateway (Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking).
Selection Process: The process of selection will be done based on Paper I and Paper II. The question paper – I will be common for all candidates appearing APSET will be bilingual (English and Telugu). Paper – II for the following subjects a) Commerce b) Economics c) Education d) History e) political Science f) Public administration g) Sociology and h) Social work will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All the remaining papers will in English only. The syllabus prescribed by UGC-CSIR and UGC-NET for paper-I and Paper-II without negative marks are adopted for APSET. The Paper II & III are merged to become Paper-II.

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I and Paper – II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet. There is no negative marking.
